Day 20 Nashville Crazy
Started the day at Belle Meade it became the nation’s leading thoroughbred farm about 200 years ago. Came back into downtown Nashville and ate at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red bar and restaurant. After lunch we got in a hop on and off bus that took us to see all the highlights of Nashville. We ended…
Day 19 Tennessee
Busy day – started out going to Cummins Falls State Park and also Burgess Falls State Park. When we got through hiking around we headed for Nashville. In Nashville we went to the Hermitage (Andrew Jackson’s home.) We had a tour of his house and walked around the grounds.
Day 18 Kentucky
We started the day in the little town of Berea which is a shopping mecca for Kentucky artisans. We then drove to Cumberland State Park and saw the falls and walked around the park. The falls are called the Niagara Falls of the South. The drive was beautiful!
Day 17 Kentucky
We went to Louisville and did an historical home tour, then went to the Louisville Slugger store and museum. Traveled down the road to horse country and took a driving tour of the beautiful horse farms, very impressive. The farms are so manicured from the pastures to the street.
Day 16 Indiana
Indiana is very pretty, driving through the backroads of Indiana you go from cornfields to forest in minutes. We went to the covered bridges of Parke county today. Ended the day shopping in Nashville, good day. Kentucky tomorrow!
Day 15 Indiana
Day started going to Saint Joseph to see the lighthouse, it was a beautiful day at the beach and the waves were crashing into the shore. All day I had to remind myself that these are lakes. We then went to the Indiana Dunes National Park, it was amazing. We did the 3 dune challenge…
